Artists Statement
I am on a contant quest to uncover new avenues of interest and complexity and look past comfortable, mundane boundaries. Where does art fit in our world today? In the market or museum it seems distant, commodifed and removed from meaning in our daily life. As we go about our routines we tend to miss opportunities for quiet contemplation. My installation work focuses on dynamic design built with simple grace and utilty. Using reclaimed and found materials these structures lends a familiar and natural fit in our urban environment and provides a place to reflect amid our busy day.
